3 Golden Ways to Increase Our Love for Prophet PBUH

3 Golden Ways to Increase Our Love for Prophet PBUH

All praise and glory belong to Allah.

Peace be upon our Prophet, Muhammad, his family, and all of his companions.

The Prophet PBUH said, “None of you truly believes until I am more beloved to him than his father, his child, and all mankind.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 15; Muslim, 44)

This statement clearly shows that loving the Holy Prophet PBUH is the prerequisite to being a true Muslim. Indeed all of the Muslim hearts are brimful with devotion and esteem for our Prophet, Peace, and blessings are upon him.

Unfortunately, we get involved in the hustle and bustle of life, and somehow deviate from the right path led by the leader of all mankind, (PBUH). The love for Prophet Muhammad PBUH is an obligation for claiming our love for Allah SWA.

To ensure our success in this world and the next, we should bend our hearts toward Prophet Muhammad’s consent. Here is how we can increase our love for Holy Prophet PBUH, to get the best of both worlds.

Let us discuss 3 golden ways to strengthen our bond with our beloved Prophet Muhammad.

#1 Realize Prophet Muhammad is the Reason Behind the World’s Creation

Certainly, Muhammad’s (PBH) love is embedded deep in the roots of our hearts, but we get indulged in the worldly enticing life and disobey his paths most of the time. We should always strive to increase love for him in our hearts by realizing that he “God’s intimate friend” is the reason the world is created.

The main reason behind calling mankind “the crown of creation” and asking the angels to bow down to Adam is only the Seal of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. It was Allah SWA, who sent him to convey His message and religion to mankind. Therefore, all mankind has been blessed by his presence.

We can never be enough obliged to our Allah and His last Prophet for choosing us to be Muslim and placing us above all of mankind. We are nothing without him and stand nowhere by disobeying his paths. One cannot claim true love for Allah until or unless he doesn’t strive to act per the rules of life taught by the messenger of Allah.

The love of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) will not only ensure our triumph in this world but will also rescue us on doomsday. According to Hazrat Abu Hurairah, the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) said, “I will be the leader of mankind on the day of resurrection, the first whose grave will be opened, the first to intercede and the first to be asked to intercede.”

#2 Read About his Struggles for the Welfare of Mankind

When we read the life of our most commendable Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), we come across continuous sufferings and endurance for the sake of Allah and His mankind. He was persecuted, hit, insulted, slandered, accused, and disowned by the majority of Arab when he preached Allah’s religion to them. Even the near and dear of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) expelled him from his homeland, calling him a wizard and a liar.

He stood firm against all the agony and kept on delivering Allah’s message to the people to save them from Allah’s rage. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) endured all the hurdles just to ensure the welfare and success of his Ummah in this world and the next.

It’s time to contemplate whether we are paying off his struggles and the sacrifices he gave for us. We need to follow the examples of Sahaba, who loved him more than their wealth, sons, and slaves. He deserves our love beyond any limitation and our following in all aspects of our lives.

#3 Study and Follow his Sirah

Being Muslims we all should study the biography or Sirah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in detail from reputable or authentic sources. It is the best way to inculcate the love and Sunnah of the Worthier, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), into our hearts. We and our children should know the exalted character, the dedication, the sincerity, and the true love of the one who declares for true, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

When we love someone, we want to know every little detail about him. So we cannot claim our true love for our Holy Prophet (PBUH) without having enough knowledge of his life. Our sincerity and love for our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are reflected in our acts and deeds. Reading Sirah multiple times will certainly engrave a true love for Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) that will surpass the love for our father, mother, children, or relatives.

Conclusion

The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), the Sincere and Trustworthy, was sent down as a mercy to the wild and astray Arabians of the past. He fought and sacrificed his life for the sake of spreading Allah’s message to his Ummah. The deeper roots of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) love can be nurtured in our hearts by learning about his Sirah and following his Sunnah.

May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him.
